KEIR STARMER’S decision to buy 12 nuclear-capable F35A warplanes from the United States leaves us all less safe.

The decision stinks on every level.

Those who argue British rearmament will revive our gutted manufacturing sector instead see the Prime Minister splurging enormous sums — each plane comes with a price tag of $80-100 million — on US-built weaponry.

Hardly surprising, since a key motivation for Starmer is to appease a belligerent White House, whose demand that we ramp up “defence” spending serves the war profiteers of its bloated military-industrial complex. F35 manufacturer Lockheed Martin is one of the death-merchants that has done very nicely out of a world at war, with sales up 5 per cent last year to $71 billion.

Much worse still is the shift in nuclear policy this indicates. It lowers the threshold for use of a nuclear weapon in conflict, which has been taboo ever since the only country ever to do so — the United States — killed a quarter of a million people by dropping the atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki 80 years ago this August.

Keir Starmer sends UK jets to further support US-Israeli Fascism

There’s a story very recently published on the BBC about UK sending military jets to the Middle-East. Keir Starmer is quoted stating that these military jets are being sent to de-escalate the situation. Is he on a different planet? Can somebody please ask him how military jets can de-escalate a conflict?

He’s taking us for fools. We know very well that these jets are going to support Israel. Keir “I support Zionism without qualification” Starmer is a total genocide-supporting mass-murdering total cnut. So, UK is going to support Israel in an illegal war after supporting Israel’s Gaza genocide from the outset.

SOLOMON HUGHES examines how Labour has gone from blaming Tory deregulation for our economic woes to betting the nation’s future on more of it

WHEN Keir Starmer finally got his prime ministerial phone call with President Trump on Sunday, according to Number 10 the two “discussed trade and the economy, with the Prime Minister setting out how we are deregulating to boost growth.”

Which is odd, because the word “deregulation” isn’t in the Labour manifesto. In fact, before the election Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds argued deregulation was a Tory sin that didn’t bring growth.

Starmer was telling Trump the truth — Labour are pressing regulators to let business do what it wants in the desperate hope they will get some “growth” to drag up their low polling. But why does Keir tell Trump the truth before British voters?

Perhaps aware that they had stumbled into openly admitting they are a “deregulation” government, despite previous promises, Starmer finally decided to lay this out by writing in The Times, making a Tory argument in the Tory press.

In his Times article Starmer admitted: “This may seem like an unusual goal for Labour politicians. But deregulation is now essential for realising Labour ambitions in this era.”

He referred admiringly to Thatcher’s deregulation and launched into purple prose about the need to hack at “thickets of red tape” to “clear out the regulatory weeds and allow a new era of British growth to bloom” and “curb regulator overreach.”

Peace activists arrested while delivering letter to Lakenheath airbase

TWO peace activists were arrested at the weekend while attempting to deliver a letter to a Suffolk air base stating the opposition to an anticipated return of US nuclear weapons there.

Some 110 nuclear bombs were stored at the Lakenheath base until they were removed in 2008 after strong and constant protests.

But earlier this year, documents surfaced from the United States Defence Department detailing a contract to build defensive shelters for Lakenheath’s “upcoming nuclear mission.”

On Saturday, five women walked through the gates of Lakenheath, intending to deliver a letter to the base commanders, asking them to stop the nukes from returning.

Police stopped the women and two sat down peacefully, vowing to stay until a base commander could meet with them. Both were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds police station.
