Britain’s ambassador to the US asked the convicted paedophile to help vet an Israeli consultant in London.
Lord Peter Mandelson asked Jeffrey Epstein to assist with a background check on an Israeli political consultant, Declassified can reveal.
The Labour party grandee and lobbyist – who is now Britain’s ambassador to the US – has always denied having “any kind of professional or business relationship with Epstein in any form”.
But leaked messages show Mandelson contacted him from his work email address in 2013, more than five years after Epstein had pleaded guilty to solicitation of prostitution with a minor.
Mandelson signed off the email in his capacity as chairman of Global Counsel, the multi-million pound lobbying firm that he co-founded.
…
It is not clear whether he got a response, but records show that Epstein forwarded the message to Barak’s personal email address.
The correspondence is contained in a huge leak of Barak’s emails, published by a file-sharing website, Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoS).

UN specialist speaks out as Gaza tribunal told of atrocities
MINISTERS could face prosecution for war crimes as the Gaza tribunal today heard that Israeli military deliberately mutilated boys’ genitals for “target practice.”
UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine Francesca Albanese said that British policymakers who green-lit economic ties with Israel, and who allowed the trade of arms during the genocide met the “criminal threshold” for complicity in war crimes.
The Jeremy Corbyn-led tribunal also heard shocking first-hand accounts from medics and humanitarian workers and legal experts who worked in Gaza.
British doctor Nick Maynard, who recently returned on his third trip to Gaza since October 7, told of the injuries he saw while working at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, which he said amounted to a “daily witnessing of war crimes.”
He said that Israeli forces targeted specific body parts of Palestinian children, citing examples of bullet wounds in their head, neck and abdomen.
…
Ms Albanese said that Britain’s failure to uphold the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide could leave government officials at risk of prosecution.
She said: “This failure to abide by international obligations alone could be sufficient to establish a case for criminal complicity in the actions of Israel.
“Conduct such as the present and moral support [for Israel] has been found to meet the criminal threshold for complicity for individuals before international tribunals.
“Government officials can be held individually responsible if found complicit of crimes .

A SPOTLIGHT will be shone on British state complicity in the Gaza genocide tomorrow [today] as Jeremy Corbyn’s Peace and Justice Project launches an independent probe into the government’s role in the crisis.
It comes after ministers blocked a widely supported Bill presented by the former Labour leader for an official inquiry into Britian’s involvement in Israel’s war crimes.
The tribunal, to be held at Church House in Westminster, will hear from United Nations special rapporteur Francesca Albanese among other witnesses over the next two days.
Writing in the Star, Mr Corbyn outlined the tribunal’s plans, which, he stressed, are not a substitute for an official probe, which would have more powers.
He said: “Earlier this year, I presented a private member’s Bill to Parliament, calling for an independent, public inquiry into Britain’s involvement in Gaza.
“I wanted to know: Why does our government continue to provide military support for Israel? What weapons have been supplied? Which of those weapons have been used in Gaza? Why does our government permit the supply of components for F-35 jets?”
Yet the government blocked the Bill. Mr Corbyn writes: “If the government had nothing to hide, it would stop blocking our efforts to expose the truth.”
The tribunal will issue a public report, focused on whether Britain has upheld its legal obligations to prevent genocide, which all scholars now concur is under way in Gaza.
Keir Starmer objects to criticism of the IDF. He asks how could anyone object to them starving people to death, forced marches like the Nazis did, bombing Gaza’s hospitals and universities,mass-murdering journalists, healthworkers and starving people queuing for food, killing and raping prisoners and murdering children. He calls for people to stop obstructing his genocide for Israel.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) called Monday for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages and detainees, and unrestricted humanitarian access to the enclave, Anadolu reports.
In a final communiqué following a ministerial session in Kuwait, the bloc pressed for full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2735, adopted in June 2024, and praised mediation efforts led by Qatar, Egypt and the US.
The ministers condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide, citing mass killings, forced displacement, starvation policies and the destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, mosques and churches. They urged the international community to take urgent steps to halt these crimes and hold perpetrators accountable.
The GCC rejected any Israeli attempt to annex parts of Gaza or impose direct military rule, stressing that Gaza and the West Bank must remain united under the Palestinian Authority.
The council also condemned repeated Israeli attacks on humanitarian convoys and aid workers, recalling UN Security Council Resolution 2730 on protecting humanitarian staff.
It welcomed statements by the European Union and a coalition of 26 international partners in July calling for an immediate end to the war and unrestricted delivery of aid.
On the Palestinian issue, the GCC reaffirmed its commitment to a two-state solution, calling for an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the Arab Peace Initiative and international law.
It praised an international conference held at the UN last month, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, which underscored support for setting a timeline to establish Palestinian statehood and ensure regional stability.
The ministers also welcomed the planned recognition of Palestine by France, the UK, Portugal, Malta, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, urging all other states to follow suit.
The GCC condemned Israel’s plan to transfer control of Hebron’s Ibrahimi Mosque to a Jewish religious council, settlement expansion in the West Bank, and calls by Israeli lawmakers to annex the occupied territory.
Israel has killed over 63,500 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met in Riyadh on Monday with Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh to discuss a US decision to revoke visas for a Palestinian delegation attending this month’s UN General Assembly meetings in New York, Anadolu reports.
A Saudi Foreign Ministry statement said discussions between the two sides took up the latest Palestinian developments and ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa said Sheikh hailed Saudi Arabia’s “firm position and its efforts to support the Palestinian people and their just cause at all levels.”
The talks also touched on a US decision to cancel visas for the Palestinian delegation ahead of the UN General Assembly meetings on Sept. 8-23, Wafa said.
Bin Salman and Sheikh also addressed the situation in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem amid Israeli attacks and settler violence, Wafa said.
They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination between the two sides to address the ongoing challenges facing the region.
In late July, the US Department of State imposed sanctions on the Palestinian Authority and the umbrella Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), denying visas to their members, including President Mahmoud Abbas.
The penalties came as several Western countries, including France and the UK, plan to recognize a Palestinian state during the UN General Assembly meetings.
Sheikh arrived in the Saudi capital on Sunday for an official visit.
The visit comes as Israel continued its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, killing over 63,500 Palestinians since October 2023.
