Palestine on Tuesday strongly condemned Israel’s illegal settlement plan targeting about 100 locations inside the so-called Area A in the occupied West Bank, Anadolu reports.

“The move represents an additional development in Israeli colonial thinking and a blatant violation of international law and signed agreements,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry described the plan as “a systematic war crime” aimed at imposing new facts by force on occupied Palestinian land, undermining security and stability, and destroying the foundations of the two-state solution.

“Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the occupied Palestinian territory,” it said. “The occupation and settlement activity in all forms have no legitimacy and constitute a crime under international law, international consensus and UN resolutions.”

“Israel’s continued illegal occupation and colonial settlement system are the root of suffering and the main reason for the absence of security and peace in the Middle East,” the ministry continued.

It called on the international community and UN institutions, including the Security Council, to take practical deterrent measures to stop colonial settlement and compel Israel, as the occupying power, to comply with international law and UN resolutions.

The ministry also called for implementing the 2024 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, forcing Israel to abandon its colonial plans and abide by signed agreements, in a way that guarantees an end to the Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Israeli occupier groups are said to have prepared a plan to seize 100 strategic locations in the Palestinian Authority-administered Area A of the occupied West Bank.

The Israel Hayom newspaper said the plan, prepared by the Settler Farms Association and the Havat (Farms) Forum, aims to fundamentally reshape the map of the occupied territory.

The proposal outlines a mechanism for deploying forces to approximately 100 strategic sites in the West Bank on what it describes as an “execution day.”

The locations are located in Area A, which, under the 1995 Oslo II Accord, is under the administrative and security control of the Palestinian Authority.

The Israeli army carries out near-daily raids in West Bank cities and towns, often involving arrests, field interrogations and home searches.

Israel was established in 1948 on lands occupied by armed Zionist groups that carried out massacres and displaced at least 750,000 Palestinians. It later occupied more territories and refused to withdraw or allow the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) said Israel’s settlement expansion and military restrictions have led to the displacement of 50 Palestinian Bedouin and herding communities since late 2023.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the findings were contained in a special survey on Bedouin and herding communities in the occupied West Bank conducted by the ICHR in cooperation with the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics.

The survey found that around 300 violations targeting individuals and institutions in these communities were recorded in April 2025 alone.

The results were presented on Wednesday during a conference attended by representatives of government institutions, relevant ministries, international and UN organisations, and civil society groups, WAFA reported.

Speaking at the event, ICHR Director-General Ammar Dweik called for the adoption of a national plan for Bedouin and herding communities based on a comprehensive development and human rights approach.

He stressed the need for greater investment in these communities across the occupied West Bank, alongside legal protection, on-the-ground support, and access to essential services.

Dweik said such measures were necessary to strengthen the communities’ ability to remain on their land amid Israeli policies and practices, including home demolitions, repeated demolition orders, the seizure of land and grazing areas, movement restrictions, settler violence, and the undermining of livelihoods.

‘A stain on our city’: UK urged to ban Israeli property fair selling stolen Palestinian land

UK ministers are under mounting pressure to ban a London real estate event accused of marketing land in illegal Israeli settlements, after several MPs challenged the government in Parliament and Green Party leader Zack Polanski warned that allowing it to proceed would be a “stain” on the capital.

The Great Israeli Real Estate Event 2026 is scheduled to take place in London on Sunday 14 June. Its website says attendees will be able to meet consultants on Aliyah, higher education, finances, taxation, mortgages, transferring funds and home management, and invites them to “explore the best Anglo neighbourhoods to find your dream home”. It lists areas including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Ramat Beit Shemesh, Netanya, Raanana, Modiin, Herzliya, Haifa, Ashdod, Beersheva and Ashkelon, while offering “special deals exclusive to event participants”.

The event promotes property in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including Gush Etzion, alongside homes inside Israel. During a debate in Parliament on Tuesday, Liberal Democrat foreign affairs spokesman Calum Miller described the event  as “Palestinian land being advertised, bartered and sold on the streets of our capital.”

Addressing the Commons, Richard Burgon, the Labour MP for Leeds East, urged Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper to stop the event, drawing a direct comparison with Russia’s occupation of Ukraine.

“Let us just imagine that, this weekend in our capital city, there was a ‘great Russian real estate event’ selling off Ukrainian land. Quite rightly and without hesitation, the Government would move to ban such an illegal event. This weekend in London, there is the Great Israeli Real Estate Event, openly advertising the illegal sale of land in the illegally occupied Palestinian territories. Given that the Government rightly recognised the state of Palestine, surely we should now move to ban this event, which is selling off land illegally in Palestine.”

Cooper did not commit to banning the event, but said the government was looking into it. “We are pursuing that particular event. If we find any cases where there are breaches of UK law, we will also pursue them,” she told MPs. “The wider issue is that nobody in the UK should be advertising illegal settlements. Nobody should be pursuing illegal settlements. No businesses or organisations should be getting involved in them.”

Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, also wrote to Cooper and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan demanding urgent intervention, describing the planned event as “deeply disturbing”.

“This is obscene,” Polanski wrote on X. “I’ve called on @MayorofLondon and @YvetteCooperMP to stop the event and for this govt to take real action on illegal settlements.”

In his letter, Polanski said the event is due to come to London “to auction stolen Palestinian land to the highest bidder” and “proudly promotes the sale of land in settlements like ‘Gush Etzion’ in the occupied West Bank, marked as illegal under international law”.

Polanski warned that “many Londoners are rightfully concerned that an event promoting land confiscation and the destruction of homes is set to take place in our city.”

Addressing Khan, Polanski said: “Sadiq, you have previously stood with campaigners and Londoners of conscience in condemning the DSEI arms fair, and I welcomed your leadership on that issue. I ask that you now take the same principled stance against this proposed land sale, which would be a stain on our city if allowed to proceed.”

Polanski also called on Cooper to move beyond statements of concern. “Your government has a moral and legal responsibility to take action against illegal settlements,” he wrote. “This must include banning the import of settlement goods and imposing further sanctions on all Israeli Government officials responsible for authorising illegal settlements. Empty condemnation is not enough — we need to see action.”

The Green Party leader also highlighted Bank Leumi’s sponsorship of the event, saying the Israeli bank had been identified by Human Rights Watch for directly supporting settlement expansion through mortgage loans and work with construction companies building on stolen Palestinian land, including in Gush Etzion.

Cooper used the wider debate to announce new sanctions against organisations accused of supporting illegal settlements and settler violence, and said the government had strengthened business guidance to make clear that British citizens and businesses should not conduct economic or financial activity in illegal settlements.

“The expansion of the illegal settlements is not only deeply wrong, because Palestinians are being forced from their own land, sometimes in the most brutal of circumstances, but deliberately designed to try to make it impossible to ever get to a two-state solution,” Cooper told MPs. “That is the purpose for some of those involved, and we should be very clear on that and call it out for what it is.”

However, Cooper stopped short of backing a formal trade ban. She said the government wanted to target illegal settlements and activity linked to them, while avoiding an impact on what she described as “long-standing, legitimate trade” with Israel.

Israel conducting ‘state-led annexation’, ‘ethnic cleansing’ in West Bank: Amnesty International

Amnesty International accused Israel on Wednesday of accelerating a state-driven campaign of “ethnic cleansing” and forcible transfer of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, in a new 150-page report focused on Bedouin and herding communities in Area C of the territory, Anadolu reports.

“Over the past three and a half years Israeli authorities have accelerated a state-sponsored campaign of ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, uprooting, dispossessing and forcibly transferring Palestinian communities,” Agnes Callamard, Amnesty International’s secretary general, said in a statement.

“This is not the work of rogue actors or what the international community has repeatedly labelled as extremist settlers, organizations or one or two ministers. What we are witnessing is deliberate, state-led annexation, in complete violation of international law unfolding before the eyes of the entire world,” said the report.

“The international community has either been complicit in or far too passive in the face of Israel’s repeated and gross violations of international law, and its flouting of UN General Assembly and Security Council resolutions. It must clearly signal that the era of tacit acquiescence to Israel’s ethnic cleansing and annexation is over,” it added.

At least 117 predominantly Bedouin and herding communities have faced full or partial displacement between January 2023 and April 2026, according to UN data that was cited by Amnesty.

The rights group noted that Israeli policy has increasingly enabled settlement expansion, land seizures and settler violence, which together have created conditions forcing Palestinians from their homes. By April 2026, at least 5,910 people had been forcibly displaced, it said.

Amnesty also points to a sharp rise in settlement outposts and demolitions, citing 363 outposts established in the West Bank, many since 2023, and the demolition of 3,407 Palestinian homes and structures between 2023 and 2026.

The report claims evidence of coordinated state policy aimed at “formal annexation” of Area C — a section of the territory that remains under full Israeli security and civil control under the Oslo Accords, and which makes up more than 60% of the West Bank — alongside financial and political support for settlements and increased transfers of authority from military to civilian control.

Israel did not immediately respond to the report’s core allegations, though a Defense Ministry response cited in the report said forces act against settler violence and investigate failures to intervene.

Amnesty said it examined 27 communities, interviewed dozens of Palestinians and reviewed hundreds of images and videos.

The report also criticizes the UK, with Amnesty UK urging it to ban trade linked to settlements and impose broader sanctions.

Kerry Moscogiuri, Amnesty International UK’s chief executive, said that “the current UK government position of condemning Israeli settlements while continuing to allow trade with them is not just incoherent but is encouraging the Israeli authorities to escalate its brutal ethnic cleansing campaign in the West Bank.”

Palestine urges international steps to halt illegal Israeli settlement activity, Palestinian displacement

Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin called Wednesday on the international community to take practical steps to stop illegal Israeli settlement activity in the occupied West Bank and displacement targeting Palestinians, Anadolu reports.

Her appeal came during a field visit to the Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin community east of occupied East Jerusalem. She was accompanied by members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations, including Consul General of Türkiye Ismail Cobanoglu, as well as a Palestinian ministerial delegation.

“Israel understands only the language of action on the ground and the international community must therefore take practical measures,” Shahin told Anadolu.

“Our message is clear. There is international law, and everyone knows the violations the Palestinian people are facing daily,” she said.

The minister called for “a united international stand that says enough to this occupation through measures taken on the ground.”

Shahin said some countries have taken steps against Israel, adding that these measures were still “insufficient.”

She pointed to escalating occupier attacks on Bedouin communities and Palestinian land, stressing that the Palestinian people are “steadfast on their land, holding on to it and will not leave it.”

“We accepted Israel on 77% of our historic land, and today the time has come to achieve our Palestinian state on 22% of historic Palestine,” she said.

The visit to Khan al-Ahmar came amid growing fears that Israel will implement plans to evacuate the Bedouin community, which is home to about 350 Palestinians from the Jahalin tribe, spread across 42 families. Residents rely mainly on sheep herding and live in tin structures and tents.

Israeli authorities have tried several times since 2018 to demolish Khan al-Ahmar, but backed down under international pressure, including from the US administration, which warned of the evacuation on the two-state solution. The pressure led to the decision being frozen but not canceled.

Israel has for years sought to implement a major settlement project known as E1 in the area , which aims to link the Maale Adumim settlement with East Jerusalem. Palestinians say the project would isolate the occupied city from its Palestinian surroundings and cut up the West Bank.

Last month, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who also holds a position in the Defense Ministry, ordered the evacuation of Khan al-Ahmar following an arrest warrant issued for him by the International Criminal Court.

Israel’s Supreme Court has previously given the green light to demolish and evacuate the community ahead of carrying out the E1 settlement project in the area.

Since the signing of the Oslo II Accord in 1995, Israel has used the classification of large areas of the West Bank as Area C, under its security and administrative control, to intensify demolitions of Bedouin communities and displace their residents.

Israel claims these communities “pose a security threat” to nearby settlements, while Palestinians say the displacement is part of a policy aimed at expanding illegal settlements and imposing new facts on the ground, undermining the chances of establishing an independent, geographically contiguous Palestinian state.
