The UN agencies, including UNICEF, UNRWA, World Health Organization (WHO), and partners, in collaboration with the Palestinian Health Ministry, are launching an integrated catch-up campaign for routine immunization, nutrition, and growth monitoring in Gaza to reach 44,000 children cut off from essential life-saving services by two years of conflict, Anadolu reports.

According to a joint statement released on Wednesday, the campaign will be implemented in three rounds to reach children with three doses of pentavalent, polio, rotavirus, and pneumococcal conjugate vaccines and two doses of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine.

The first round of the campaign will take place from Nov. 9 to Nov. 18.

An estimated “1 in 5 children under three years of age are either zero-dose or have missed vaccinations because of the conflict,” increasing the risk of disease outbreaks. The catch-up campaign aims, the statement said, to provide these children with routine childhood vaccines that protect against measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, tuberculosis, polio, rotavirus, and pneumonia.

“To help address the devastating impacts of the conflict on children’s health and nutrition, UNICEF and partners will also screen these children for malnutrition and ensure those identified with malnutrition receive treatment and ongoing follow-up. Children with complications due to moderate and severe acute malnutrition will be treated at WHO-supported inpatient stabilization centers,” it said.

“After two years of relentless violence that claimed the lives of more than 20,000 children in the Gaza Strip, we finally have an opportunity to protect those who survived,” Jonathan Veitch, UNICEF special representative in Palestine, said. “Vaccinating every child, and supporting their health and nutrition, is not just a humanitarian intervention; it is a moral imperative.”

UNICEF has delivered all vaccines, syringes, cold chain equipment and nutrition supplies to Gaza, with vaccinations set to take place at 149 health facilities and 10 mobile vehicles, according to the statement. More than 450 health workers and support staff have been trained.

“This immunization campaign is a lifeline, protecting children’s health and restoring hope for the future,” Richard Peeperkorn, WHO representative in the occupied Palestinian territory, said for his part.

The agencies stressed that the campaign’s success depends on the full respect of the ceasefire to allow safe access to vaccination and nutrition services. The onset of harsh winter conditions makes this campaign even more urgent, as deadly but preventable childhood diseases spread across the Gaza Strip, they warned.

Phases two and three of the campaign, which aim to provide the children with second and third doses of the vaccines, are planned for December 2025 and January 2026, respectively.

Before the conflict, Gaza maintained 54 immunization facilities and ranked “among the top” globally with an overall 98% vaccination coverage rate for children. Today, the statement said, 31 facilities are no longer operational after being damaged or destroyed in indiscriminate attacks, while the routine vaccination coverage rate has dropped below 70%.

Keir Starmer objects to criticism of the IDF. He asks how could anyone object to them starving people to death, forced marches like the Nazis did, bombing Gaza's hospitals and universities, mass-murdering journalists, healthworkers and starving people queuing for food, killing and raping prisoners and murdering children. He calls for people to stop obstructing his genocide for Israel.

Experiencing issues with this image not appearing. I suspect because it's so critical of Zionist Keir Starmer's support of and complicity in Israel's genocides.

Critics condemn Robby Starbuck, appointed in lawsuit settlement, for ‘peddling lies and pushing extremism’

A prominent anti-DEI campaigner appointed by Meta in August as an adviser on AI bias has spent the weeks since his appointment spreading disinformation about shootings, transgender people, vaccines, crime, and protests.

Robby Starbuck, 36, of Nashville, was appointed in August as an adviser by Meta – owner of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other tech platforms – in an August lawsuit settlement.

Since his appointment, Starbuck has baselessly claimed that individual shooters in the US were motivated by leftist ideology, described faith-based protest groups as communists, and without evidence tied Democratic lawmakers to murders.

Starbuck’s online posts have not changed in tenor since the “anti-DEI agitator” was brought into the Meta fold, and his Trump administration connections raise broader questions about the extent to which corporate America has capitulated to the Maga movement.

The Guardian repeatedly contacted Meta for comment on Starbuck’s role, and his rhetoric online, but received no response.

‘Make Polio Great Again’: Alarm Over RFK Jr. Lawyer Who Targeted Vaccine

“So if you’re wondering if Donald Trump is trying to kill your kids, yes, yes he is,” said one critic.

Public health advocates, federal lawmakers, and other critics responded with alarm to The New York Times reporting on Friday that an attorney helping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. select officials for the next Trump administration tried to get the U.S. regulators to revoke approval of the polio vaccine in 2022.

“The United States has been a leader in the global fight to eradicate polio, which is poised to become only the second disease in history to be eliminated from the face of the earth after smallpox,” said Liza Barrie, Public Citizen’s campaign director for global vaccines access. “Undermining polio vaccination efforts now risks reversing decades of progress and unraveling one of the greatest public health achievements of all time.”

Public Citizen is among various organizations that have criticized President-elect Donald Trump’s choice of Kennedy to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, with the watchdog’s co-president, Robert Weissman, saying that “he shouldn’t be allowed in the building… let alone be placed in charge of the nation’s public health agency.”

Although Kennedy’s nomination requires Senate confirmation, he is already speaking with candidates for top health positions, with help from Aaron Siri, an attorney who represented RFK Jr. during his own presidential campaign, the Times reported. Siri also represents the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) in petitions asking the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) “to withdraw or suspend approval of vaccines not only for polio, but also for hepatitis B.”

According to the newspaper:

Mr. Siri is also representing ICAN in petitioning the FDA to “pause distribution” of 13 other vaccines, including combination products that cover tetanus, diphtheria, polio, and hepatitis A, until their makers disclose details about aluminum, an ingredient researchers have associated with a small increase in asthma cases.

Mr. Siri declined to be interviewed, but said all of his petitions were filed on behalf of clients. Katie Miller, a spokeswoman for Mr. Kennedy, said Mr. Siri has been advising Mr. Kennedy but has not discussed his petitions with any of the health nominees. She added, “Mr. Kennedy has long said that he wants transparency in vaccines and to give people choice.”

After the article was published, Siri called it a “typical NYT hit piece plainly written by those lacking basic reading and thinking skills,” and posted a series of responses on social media. He wrote in part that “ICAN’s petition to the FDA seeks to revoke a particular polio vaccine, IPOL, and only for infants and children and only until a proper trial is conducted, because IPOL was licensed in 1990 by Sanofi based on pediatric trials that, according to FDA, reviewed safety for only three days after injection.”

The Times pointed out that experts consider placebo-controlled trials that would deny some children polio shots unethical, because “you’re substituting a theoretical risk for a real risk,” as Dr. Paul A. Offit, a vaccine expert at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, explained. “The real risks are the diseases.”

Ayman Chit, head of vaccines for North America at Sanofi, told the newspaper that development of the vaccine began in 1977, over 280 million people worldwide have received it, and there have been more than 300 studies, some with up to six months of follow-up.

Trump, who is less than six weeks out from returning to office, has sent mixed messages on vaccines in recent interviews.

Asked about RFK Jr.’s anti-vaccine record during a Time “Person of the Year” interview published Thursday, the president-elect said that “we’re going to be able to do very serious testing” and certain vaccines could be made unavailable “if I think it’s dangerous.”

Trump told NBC News last weekend: “Hey, look, I’m not against vaccines. The polio vaccine is the greatest thing. If somebody told me to get rid of the polio vaccine, they’re going to have to work real hard to convince me. I think vaccines are—certain vaccines—are incredible. But maybe some aren’t. And if they aren’t, we have to find out.”

Both comments generated concern—like the Friday reporting in the Times, which University of Alabama law professor and MSNBC columnist Joyce White Vance called “absolutely terrifying.”

She was far from alone. HuffPost senior front page editor Philip Lewis said that “this is just so dangerous and ridiculous” while Zeteo founder Mehdi Hasan declared, “We are so—and I use this word advisedly—fucked.”

Ryan Cooper, managing editor at The American Prospectwarned that “they want your kids dead.”

Author and musician Mikel Jollett similarly said, “So if you’re wondering if Donald Trump is trying to kill your kids, yes, yes he is.”

Multiple critics altered Trump’s campaign slogan to “Make Polio Great Again.”

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) responded with a video on social media:

Without naming anyone, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), a polio survivor, put out a lengthy statement on Friday.

“The polio vaccine has saved millions of lives and held out the promise of eradicating a terrible disease. Efforts to undermine public confidence in proven cures are not just uninformed—they’re dangerous,” he said in part. “Anyone seeking the Senate’s consent to serve in the incoming administration would do well to steer clear of even the appearance of association with such efforts.”

Doctors worldwide call Covid Vaccines “Unnecessary, Ineffective and Unsafe”

Spread the love
https://dailyexpose.co.uk/2021/05/01/doctors-around-the-world-unite-to-call-the-covid-vaccines-unnecessary-ineffective-and-unsafe/

“In most countries, most people now have immunity to SARS-CoV-2. Depending on their degree of previously acquired cross-immunity, they will have had no symptoms, mild and uncharacteristic symptoms, or more severe symptoms, possibly including anosmia (loss of sense of smell) or other somewhat characteristic signs of the COVID-19 disease. Regardless of disease severity, they will now have sufficient immunity to be protected from severe disease in the event of renewed exposure. This majority of the population will not benefit at all from being vaccinated.”

And the group was at pains to stress their main message – “these vaccines are dangerous”.

The statement continued: “Population survival of COVID-19 exceeds 99.8 per cent globally. In countries that have been intensely infected over several months, less than 0.2 per cent of the population have died and had their deaths classified as ‘with covid19’

“With the mRNA vaccines, the risk of severe adverse events is virtually guaranteed to increase with every successive injection. In the long term, they are therefore even more dangerous than the vector vaccines. Their apparent preference over the latter is concerning in the highest degree; these vaccines are not safe.”
