ANTI-ARMS campaigners have lodged a criminal complaint with the Met Police’s war crimes unit, accusing exhibitionists at the DSEI arms fair “aiding and abetting” Israel’s offences in Gaza.
The Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) said it had reported the criminal liability of several individuals linked to atrocities in Gaza who attended the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) fair at the ExCeL Centre in London, last week
Of the hundreds of companies present, 51 were Israeli firms, including Elbit Systems, Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries — all named in a UN report as central to Israel’s military genocide in Gaza.
Under terrorism laws, it is an offence to engage in “conduct ancillary” to war crimes or crimes against humanity, including aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring such offences.
A CAAT spokesperson said: “These are the arms companies arming the [Israel Defence Force].
“These are the arms companies facilitating and profiting from Israel bombing hospitals, killing journalists and creating a man-made famine.
“UK law is clear — these individuals should be investigated for crimes against humanity, not invited to profit from the unspeakable devastation they have caused in Gaza.”

At least 64,718 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, as seven more people, including a child, died of starvation in the besieged enclave, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
A ministry statement said that 72 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 356 people were injured, taking the number of injuries to 163,859 in the Israeli onslaught.
“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
The ministry also noted that nine Palestinians were killed and over 87 others injured by Israeli army fire while trying to get humanitarian aid in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 2,465, with over 17,948 others wounded since 27 May.
The ministry said that seven more Palestinians, including a child, died of malnutrition and starvation in the last 24 hours. This brought the famine-linked death toll since October 2023 to 411 people, including 142 children.
According to the ministry, 133 of the deaths, 27 of them children, occurred after the UN-backed hunger monitoring system, Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), formally declared Gaza a famine zone last month.
Since 2 March, the Israeli authorities have completely closed all Gaza border crossings, pushing the territory’s 2.4 million population into famine.
The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on 18 March and has since killed 12,170 people and injured 51,818 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

QATAR’S Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani is demanding a “collective response” to Israel’s deadly attack on the Qatari capital Doha.
Sheikh Mohammed told US news channel CNN on Wednesday that “there is a response that will happen from the region. This response is currently under consultation and discussion with other partners in the region, adding that “the entire Gulf region is at risk.”
He accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of leading the region into “chaos” and hoped the response from Arab nations would be “something meaningful that deters Israel from continuing this bullying.”
The Qataris plan to host an Arab-Islamic summit on Sunday and Monday, the country’s QNA news agency reported.
Sheikh Mohammed also said that the Israeli strike was aimed at undermining “any chance of peace” in Gaza.
He said: “I think that what [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu did yesterday — he just killed any hope for those [Israeli] hostages.” Twenty captives are believed to be still alive in Gaza.
Even as there was widespread international condemnation of the attack on Doha, the Israeli prime minister threatened further attacks, saying that “Qatar and all nations who harbour terrorists, you either expel them or you bring them to justice. Because if you don’t, we will.”

THE iron fist of the British state is slamming down on those who dare to oppose genocide. In the whole year ending March 31 2025, according to the Home Office website, British police made a total of 232 arrests under the Terrorism Act 2000, a 12 per cent increase on the previous 12 months. The all-time record, according to the same page, for such arrests was 450 in 2018.
Last Saturday, the Metropolitan Police and other forces supporting them arrested at least 890 people at a single demonstration, on top of more than 500 a few weeks earlier. This is the largest mass arrest event by the Metropolitan Police in a decade.

For supporting a group committed to direct action against British arms manufacturers supplying Israel, ordinary citizens now risk up to 14 years in prison. In the stroke of a pen, the right to protest was obliterated and peaceful dissenters branded as criminals.

Today, British civil liberties are in the grip of a manufactured crisis. Peaceful citizens — ordinary people, including Jewish anti-genocide activists, pensioners, and scholars — have been redefined as terrorists. Even people in their 80s and 90s joined the civil resistance, proving the heart of popular opposition beats strong as ever. The state’s war is not just on Palestine — it’s on dissent, on assembly, on freedom itself.
It is my view that the real risk is not to national security, but to democracy. Step by step, the British Establishment is dismantling rights won through struggle and sacrifice. This is the opposite of democracy; this is naked authoritarianism. Silence is their weapon. The mass arrests, the legal bans, the kettling of peaceful protest — each tactic designed to intimidate, to silence, to fracture the solidarity needed to confront genocide and imperial complicity.
History is on the side of the people. From the anti-apartheid movement to the miners’ strike and beyond, popular resistance and dissent have always been met with repression — but never defeated.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan on Thursday condemned “hostile” statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Qatar, Anadolu reports.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said Qatar’s security and stability are an “integral part” of that of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, stressing that any assault on a GCC member state “constitutes an attack on the collective Gulf security framework.”
The ministry voiced the UAE’s “categorical rejection” of Netanyahu’s remarks, which it said included future threats against Qatar, warning that such rhetoric undermines regional stability and pushes the region toward “extremely dangerous trajectories.”
In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said: “We strongly condemn the hostile threats and unacceptable escalatory statements made by the Israeli prime minister against sisterly Qatar and his desperate attempt to justify the blatant Israeli aggression against it.”
It affirmed “the Kingdom’s full solidarity with the State of Qatar, its security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and citizens, as well as its support for any measures Qatar may take to protect its security and sovereignty.”
The ministry also renewed its call on the international community to “assume its legal and moral responsibilities, compel Israel to halt its aggression on Gaza, its dangerous escalation in the West Bank, and its violations of the sovereignty of states and the UN Charter.”
Netanyahu’s remarks came amid mounting international criticism of Israel’s deadly strike on Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital Doha on Tuesday.
“You either expel them (Hamas) or you bring them to justice. Because if you don’t, we will,” Netanyahu addressed Qatar on Wednesday.
Netanyahu likened the Israeli assault on Doha to the US pursuit of Al-Qaeda following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Qatar swiftly rejected the comparison, branding it a “new, miserable justification for Israel’s treacherous practices” and a reckless violation of its sovereignty.
The Israeli strike killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer. Hamas confirmed that its leadership had survived the attack.
Qatar condemned the attack as a “cowardly act” and a blatant violation of international law, warning it would not tolerate Israel’s “reckless behavior.”
The Gulf state, along with the US and Egypt, has been playing a central role in efforts to mediate an end to Israel’s war on Gaza, which has killed more than 64,700 Palestinians since October 2023.
